Suffolk - Elder McClinton T. Davis was born in Norfolk, Virginia on February 21, 1930 to the parentage of the late Daniel W. Davis and Sarah B. Davis. He was called home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 10 2011. Elder Davis graduated from Booker T. Washington High School and enlisted the United States Army. After being honorably
discharged from the military, Elder Davis moved to New York where he was employed as a Lab Technician Carrier until he retired.

Elder McClinton accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and personal Savior. He was a dedicated servant of God as a member of Faith Temple Church of God in Christ. He loved the Lord and always has words of wisdom for whoever would listen to him.

Elder McClinton loved his family unconditionally and there was nothing that he wouldn't do for them. He raised his children and grandchildren to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and personal Savior.

Elder McClinton was preceded in deah by his loving and devoted
wife of 36 years, Marion Davis, a brother, and Wilbert C. Davis.

Elder McClinton's spirit lives today and forevermore, in the hearts of his children,Tarus Davis, Derrick Davis, and Monique Davis Booth;twelve grandchildren; his brother,Columbus Alexander Davis; his aunt, Ida Mae Davis; a sister-in-law,Bertha Davis, a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends.

A funeral service will be held 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Faith Temple COGIC, 645 37th Street in Norfolk. The family will receive friends from 6pm - 7pm Friday at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeke. Condolences maybe offered to the family at www.pretlowandsons.com.
