Chesapeake - Elvis Griffin, 49, of the 3100 block of Fairview Street departed this life June 4, 2007. Born in Chesapeake, he was employed with Ready Concrete.



He is survived by his son, Anthony Cuffee of Virginia Beach, his mother, Mable Griffin of Chesapeake, eight sisters, Mable M. Griffin, Evelyn Griffin, Betty Griffin, Vanessa Griffin, Cynthia Brooks (Michael), Cathy Riddick and Geraldine Hill (Samuel) all of Chesapeake and Wanda Riddick (Rayfield) of Virginia Beach; two brothers, Willie E. Griffin (Dorothy) Virginia Beach and Roy Griffin of Chesapeake, and a host of relatives and friends.



A funeral service will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at United House of Prayer, 1433 Whittamore Road, Chesapeake. Interment will follow at Roosevelt Memorial Park. Viewing will be Friday 2pm - 7pm at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake. Family and friends will meet at 105 King George Quay,10:00 a.m. the day of the service for the processional.
