Chesapeake - Eric Deshawn Corbett, 15, of the 4000 block of Starboard Road departed this life October 23, 2006. Born in Jacksonville, Florida, he attended Norfolk Public Schools. He was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church where he was a choir member.



He is survived by his parents, Bonnie B. Corbett of Chesapeake and Derrick Corbett of Portsmouth; two sisters, Latoya Downing and Jaela Downing of Portsmouth; two brothers, Derrick Corbett and Jamal Corbett of Chesapeake; grandparents Altheia Downing (Andre), Mariah Belfield, and Margalin Taylor of Portsmouth; great grandparents, Rev. Samuel Sykes and Neomia Sykes of Chesapeake; five uncles, two aunts, one nephew, Jaelan Downing, a host of relatives and friends.



A funeral service will be held Saturday at 12:00 p.m. at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be Friday from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake.
