Chesapeake – Ernestine Elizabeth Faison, 83, of the 1500 block of Robert Hall Blvd., departed this life June 10, 2010. Born in Norfolk, she was a longtime member of St. Thomas A.M.E. Zion Church. She faithfully served on the # 2 Choir, the Floral Club, the Missionary Board and the Deaconess Board.
She is predeceased by her husband, Albert W. Faison, Sr., two sons, Albert W. Faison Jr. and Edmond J. Faison, and her grandson, Jermaine Faison. Survivors include, her daughter, Brenda Walker-Brown (Steven) of Norfolk; three sons, David F. Faison of Norfolk, Patrick L. Faison (Malissa) of Chicago and Christopher L. Faison of Chesapeake, sixteen grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild, and a host of relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held noon Tuesday at St. Thomas A.M.E. Zion Church. Interment will follow at Roosevelt Memorial Park. Viewing will be held 3 pm – 7 pm Monday at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake, where the family will receive friends from 6 – 7 pm.
