Eugene James Patterson, Jr., affectionately known as "Cam" , passed away on August 12, 2022 in Chesapeake, VA. He leaves behind his wife, Ruby Patterson, daughter Laquetta Joe of Chesapeake, VA, three sisters, Clemetine Hockaday of Norfolk, VA, Yolanda Patterson of Charlotte, NC and Debra Ann Ware of Goochland, VA, one brother Burrell Patterson of Portland, Maine, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

A funeral mass will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at the Basilica of Saint Mary of the Immaculate Conception, 232 Chapel St, Norfolk. Interment will follow at Albert G. Horton Jr., Memorial Veterans Cemetery, 5310 Milners Road, Suffolk. Viewing will be from 5pm until 7pm Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake.
