Obituary
Portsmouth – Everett Alton Bond, Jr., 75, of the 2900 block Arcadia Avenue departed this life July 24, 2011. Born in Portsmouth, he was a postal worker until his retirement. He was a member of the Olympic Sports Club.
He survived by his daughter, Sheila B. Kearney (Fred) of Virginia Beach, sons, Everett A. Bond III (Andrea) of Chesapeake and Edward R. Gourdine of New York, three grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake. Interment will follow at Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery. Viewing will be held Tuesday from 3pm – 7 pm at the funeral home.
