Chesapeake - Frederick Douglas Snead, Jr. was born on October 29, 1951 to the late Frederick Douglas Snead, Sr. and Thelma Elizabeth Brooks Snead in Richmond, Virginia.

Frederick or "Freddie" as he was affectionately called by family and friends, loved participating in the Special Olympics which he enjoyed very much. Some of his hobbies included bowling, watching sporting events, and keeping up with his favorite wrestlers. Freddie loved attending church and his Mount family. Freddie ienjoyed working in a special career program at Chesapeake Service Systems sponsored by Cox Communications.

Freddie was a member of First Baptist Church in Manakin, VA for many years before becoming a partner at the "Mount" in 2005. He loved volunteering in various ministries and the church office. He was responsible for administrative mailings at the church. Freddie was named the Mount volunteer of year in 2006. He thoroughly admired his pastors and often spoke of them and his church families. He really enjoyed talking and fellowshipping with family and friends.

Freddie truly loved his family especially his nephew Marc and niece Brennan, cousins Marion Brooks, James Mayo, Shandra, Rovell, and James Robert Solomon. He leaves to cherish his memory his girlfriend Karen Robinson; brother Marc (Robin); sister Patricia Solomon (Harold); caring uncle Randolph Snead; and a host of family and friends.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m.,
Tuesday at The Mount, 884 Bells Mill Road, Chesapeake, where viewing will began at 9a.m. until11 a.m. A memorial service will also be held on June 10th at 4 pm at First Baptist Church 224 River Rd Manakin-Sabot, Va
