Ewa Beach HI, PO1 George Thomas Casher Jr., stationed in Pearl Harbor, HI, died August 24, 2008, from wounds suffered in a motorcycle accident. Cash was born November 3, 1978, in Queens, New York. He moved to Columbus, Ohio in 1989 and graduated from Eastmoor High School; he enlisted in the U.S. Navy on September 30, 1996. In 2003 he moved to Virginia where he became involved with the VA Hurricanes, the Virginia Pirates, and the Extreme Riders of Georgia and Virginia. In May of 2007 he was stationed in Pearl Harbor, HI with the USS Pasadena. It was there that George Casher was selected as USS Pasadena Sailor of the Quarter for 2008, as well as many other achievements within his career.
He is survived by his wife, Ramonda Casher; and expected child; his parents, Deborah Casher and George T. Casher Sr. of Columbus, OH; sister & brother-in-law, Liane Casher & Andre' Reed of Columbus, OH; brothers, Lawrence Casher of Columbus, OH & Douglas Bernard Robertson of Jacksonville, FL; niece and nephew, She-Lyn & Andre' Reed of Columbus, OH, grandparents, James & Sarah Casher Columbus OH; mother-in law, Patricia Minor of Virginia Beach, Virginia; brother-in-law Larry L. Minor II, Hampton, Virginia;
father-in-law, Larry Minor Sr. of San Juancito, CA; and a host of aunts and uncles and cousins. Cash was well respected in and out of his career field. He was loved by all who knew him and will be deeply missed.
