On July 16, 2022, at 0423, our dad was granted eternal rest. George Edward Wilson, Sr., was born March 13, 1942, to the late Leonard and Rebecca Wilson. He was preceded in death by his parents, all his siblings, a son George E. Wilson, Jr., and his stepdaughter, Melishia Grace Bynum. He retired from the Virginia Beach Public Schools after twenty plus years of dedicated service.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, wife Alfreda; children, Keith (Yolanda), Renita, Timothy (Lily), Cynthia (Larry), Diane, Jameller, Sylvia, and Stanley; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, July 30, 2022 at The Called Church, 943 Canal Drive, Chesapeake. Interment will follow at Roosevlt Memorial Park, Viewing will be held from 5pm until 7pm Fiday, July 29, 2022 at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake.
