Georgia L. Stafford, "Bea" as in "B", as she was called by her family members, quietly left this earth on Sunday, January 21, 2024 at the age of 97, to join our Heavenly Father and her beloved husband of fifty years, John F. Stafford, Sr.

She was a blessing to her family as a caregiver. Her training and education as a nurse gave her the ability to provide invaluable hands on loving care to her granddaughter Tanisha, her husband John Sr., and, until recently, her daughter, Patty.

Georgia believed in the value of a good education. All three of her children were blessed to have gotten a college education through the sacrifices and dedication of her and John Sr.

Calling hours will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home; 500 Liberty Street; Chesapeake, Virginia.

On Thursday, February 1, 2024, a viewing will be held at 10:00 a.m., followed by the funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. at The Basilica of Saint Mary of the Immaculate Conception; 232 Chapel Street; Norfolk, Virginia. Repast will take place at the church after the funeral mass.

Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 2, 2024, at Quantico National Cemetery; 18424 Joplin Road; Triangle, Virginia.
