Harold Wesley Fallis, 67, was the second of three children born to Virginia Mingo Fallis and Melvin C. Fallis, Sr. He was born in Norfolk, VA on February 28, 1951 and was called to be with the Lord on September 6, 2018.
At an early age, he gave his life to God and grew up as a member of First Baptist Church, Berkley. He was mostly the quiet member of the family as the middle child between older brother, Melvin Fallis and younger sister, Cynthia Fallis.
However, Harold played drums in the band, loved music, and loved to dress. He also attended church with his family on a regular basis.
Harold attended Norfolk Public Schools and graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in 1969 were he was an active member of the band and known as " Little Rock" After high school he married his childhood sweetheart, Geneva Lawson. They were blessed with a wonderful daughter, Kimberly Fallis-Lowe. Before he became ill, Harold was a devoted husband and father. He was employed with the Naval Amphibious Base in Norfolk, VA and was proud of taking care of his family.
Harold leaves to cherish his memory wife, Geneva Fallis, Chesapeake, VA; daughter Kimberly Fallis-Lowe (Randy), Centreville, VA; brother Melvin C. Fallis (Sheron), Memphis, TN; newphew, Melvin Joshua Fallis, Hampton University; sister Cynthia Fallis, Phoenix, AZ; cousins, Tyrone Bray and Jacob Bray, Chesapeake, VA and a host of relatives and friends.
We give thanks for Harold's tender heart, smile, love for people, and pleasant attitude toward life and everyone he met.
A funeral service will be held 12 noon on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at Jesus Church of Deliverance Love Center, 5246 Jones Lane, Chesapeake. Interment will follow at Roosevelt Memorial Park. Viewing will be from 5pm until 7pm Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake.
