Helen B. Carrington passed away peacefully on Monday, December 11, 2023. She was born in Norfolk, Virginia on November 12, 1931 to Allie James and Helen James Smallwood. She was predeceased by her husband, Leon T. Carringon,Sr. Left to cherish her memory are her six children;grandchildren;great-grandchildren;a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

A mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Helen's life will be held at the Basilica of Saint Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 232 Chapel St. in Norfolk on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at 11:00a.m. Viewing from 10:00am to 10:45am in the sanctuary. Interment December 28, 2023 at Albert G. Horton Jr. Veterans Cemetery.
