Helen Elizabeth "Pinky" Haggins, 78, of Chesapeake, fell asleep in death on July 16, 2021. Born on September 16, 1942 in Norfolk, Virginia, she was the youngest daughter of the late Ottis Butts, Sr., and Geneva Nichols Butts. She was predeceased by her brothers, Lorenzo, Otis, Jr. "Dick," Linwood, Wallace "Sam," and sister, Goldie "Baby Mae" Drumgole.

She is survived by two daughters, Carla Yancy (Lawrence) of Jacksonville, Florida, and Crystal Haggins of Chesapeake, Virginia; one son, Charles "Chucky" Haggins of Portsmouth, Virginia; grandchildren, Charles Haggins, III, Lawrence Yancy, Jr., Shantelle Haggins, and Kobie Haggins; one sister, Iola Baker of Chesapeake,Virginia and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Saturday, July 24, 2021 at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, 500 Liberty Street, Chesapeake, Virginia 23324. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Norfolk. Viewing will be held from 5pm until 7pm Friday, June 23, 2021 at the funeral home.
