On Thursday evening God called Helen T. Scott, our beloved mother, grandmother, grandmother, great grandmother, cousin and friends to her final resting place, but to Good be the glory an eternal reward.

Helen was a sweet and loving woman. Who loved the Lord. One of her favorite quotes was "God sits high and look low." .She will be loved and missed by family and friends.

Helen was predeceased by her mother, Mary B. Smith; husband John W. Scott, and her son (one of five), Calvin L. Parker. She was a loving strong mother who is survived by her other four children, Clarence Alston, Jr., Earl Parker, Prentiss McPherson, and Mary Thomas all of Norfolk, Virginia; and a host of grandchildren great grandchildren, cousins, other relatives and friend.

A graveside service will be  held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at Calvary Cemetery, 1600 St. Julian Avenue, Norfolk, Virginia. Viewing will be held from 5pm until 7 pm at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, 500 Liberty Street, Chesapeake, Virginia.
