Herbert Lee Artis, 92, of Chesapeake, VA, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 9, 2025. He was born in Norfolk County to the late John and Leola Artis. Herbert is a member of First Baptist Church money Point. He was employed by the City of Chesapeake until his retirement.

He leaves to cherish his memory two sons, Raymond Artis and Jerry Artis; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.

Viewing will be on Monday, January 20, 2025, from 3-5pm at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at First Baptist Church Money Point, 439 Freeman Ave, Chesapeake. Interment will follow at Roosevelt Memorial Park.
