Rev. Herman L. Carrington was called home to be with the Lord on November 26, 2016.   He was an entrepreneur for many years until his retirement, and a faithful member of St. John's AME Church.

Rev. Carrington is survived by his children, Verazola Hargrove, Queen Brown, Herman Carrington Jr., Celestine Sparrow and Herman Carrington III; a sister Georgia Foster, and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

A home going service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday at St. John's AME Church. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be held from 4-7pm Friday at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.pretlowandsons.com.
