Obituary

On Thursday, May 12, 2016, Herman, affectionately known as "Crow", took up his wings and flew home to be with the Lord. He was born to the late Herman and Bertha King on May 29, 1948 in Norfolk, Virginia. Upon graduating from Norview High School in the Class of 1968, he enlisted into the Army and served his country during the Vietnam War. After leaving the armed forces, he worked as a Computer Operator at NASA Langley for over 25 years.

Junnie" as called by his family, is now joined in "Glory" with his brother James O. Clark, and sister Florence K. "Cookie" Bass. Here to cherish his memory are: his sister Cora McRaft (James), brothers George L. King (Marilyn), and Arthur J. King (Sheri), and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A graveside service will be held 12 noon Friday at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Suffolk. Viewing will be held Thursday from 4-7pm at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.pretlowandsons.com.
