Chesapeake – Hurley Cleo Gwynn, 88, of the 200 block of Middle Oaks Drive departed this life February 7, 2009. Born in Norfolk County, she was a lifelong member of Divine Baptist Church where she remained very active until her health began to fail. She was a member of the Silver Strands.

She was predeceased by husband Anderson Little, former husband Ernest Gwynn, parents, Arthur and Inez Cassell, brother, Hilton C. Cassell, sisters, Vivian C. Bly, Mary C. Wilson and Jocelyn Cuffee. Survivors include her brother, Waverly R. Cassell (Nettie) of Chesapeake; brother-in-law, Dennis E. Cuffee of Chesapeake and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A funeral service will be 11:00 am Friday at Divine Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the Overton-Cuffee-Cassell Family Cemetery. Viewing will be held 2 pm – 7 pm Thursday at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake, where the family will meet and greet friends from 5:30 pm – 7 pm.
