Obituary
Chesapeake – Jannie Benson, 81, went to her heavenly father on December 12, 2013 at her home. She was born on April 22, 1932 in Windsor, NC.
She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Rev. Charlie Benson, one son, Larry Benson (Cynthia), one daughter, Constance Benson, 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren all of Chesapeake; one sister, Christine Skinner (Albert) of Monroe, LA, one brother, Harvey Rascoe, Jr. (Joyce) of Windsor, NC and a host of other relatives and friends.
Viewing will be held on Monday, December 16, 2013 from 3-7pm at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, 500 Liberty Street, Chesapeake. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 12 noon at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, 6421 Providence Road in Virginia Beach. Interment will follow at Roosevelt Memorial Park. Condolences can be offered to the family at www.pretlowandsons.com.
