On the evening of July 2, 2017, the almighty God quietly called our loved one, Jason D. Key from life and gently ushered him into eternal rest. He predeceased by his parents, Timothy E. and Regina O. Key.

Jason was educated in the Norfolk and Chesapeake Public School Systems. He was employed for many years at the Aberdeen Barn Steakhouse in Virginia Beach, VA. The son of two songbirds, Jason was known for his rendition of "The Presence of The Lord Is Here"' when given an audience, Jason would freestyle with the best of them! He was also an avid storyteller, with an infectious laugh. The man known as "Keezy", will forever live in our hearts.

Leaving to cherish his precious memories are his wife, Tameka Key; six children; Jameke, Jarmyra, Jamarrea, Jizele, Jaida Key and Jasean Watford; one brother, Kevin Key; niece, Jamaar'za Bryant; and a host of uncles, aunts, relatives, and friend.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 8, 2017 at Gethsemane Community Fellowship, 1317 E Brambleton Ave, Norfolk. Interment will follow at Roosevelt Memorial Park. Viewing will be held from 5-7pm Friday at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake.
