Chesapeake - Jermaine Antonio "Monk" Wesby, Sr. 33, passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2007. He was a native of Norfolk and a member of Greater St. Andrews A.M.E Church.



Jermaine is survived by his wife, Gwendolyn "Mimi" Carrington; children, Ashley N. Carrington, Jermaine Antonio "Lil Jay" Wesby, Jr., Shameek T. Pettaway; stepdaughter, Ashlee Knight; mother and father, Pearline and Annais Jones; sister, Margo Wesby; brothers, Steven Wesby and Santonio Wesby all of Norfolk; grandmother, Addie Mae Walston, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.



A funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 31, 2007 at noon at Greater Saint Andrews A.M.E Church in "Queen City," Virginia Beach, with Pastor Timothy Smith, Sr. Interment will follow at Roosevelt Memorial Park. Viewing will be Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Pretlow and Funeral Home, Chesapeake. The family will receive condolences at 1002 Hatton Street, Norfolk.
