On the morning of November 10, 2014, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, Jerry Locker, Jr. entered into eternal rest. He was born October 17, 1926 in Norfolk, VA to the late Jerry and Pearl Locker. He was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School and Virginia State College. He was a United States Army Veteran, serving in World II and Korea. He was a retired letter carrier for the United States Postal Service. Jerry was married to the late Ruby E. Locker for 48 years.

Left to cherish his memory are his children: Lori Locker-Brown (Glenn, Sr.) of Chesapeake, Terry L. Kelly (Terry R.) of Virginia Beach, Tobi J. Locker of Norfolk and Roderick C. Boone (Sonya) of North Carolina; one sister, Geraldine Sanderlin (John) of Chesapeake and one brother, Willie Locker (Ann) of Petersburg; six grandchildren, Glenda, Glenn, Jr., and Jaurique Brown, Jeremy and Jaren Kelly and Autumn Boone; three great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake on Thursday, November 20, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 21, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Berkley, with Rev. William D. Tyree, officiating.
