Portsmouth - Jessie Lee Blowe, 87, of the 2600 block of Hickory Street departed this life May 18, 2008. Born in Chesapeake, he was employed at Norfolk Naval Shipyard for over 20 years and Western Auto for over 10 years. He was a Mason and a member of the Washington Lodge, Portsmouth.



He is predeceased by his wife of 54 years, Lillie Mae Blowe. Survivors include two daughters, Betty Osby of Portsmouth, and Shirley Jones (Horace) of Chesapeake; one son, Vernon L. Blowe (Franchester) of Portsmouth; five grandchildren, two great grandchildren, a special friend, Diane Norfleet of Portsmouth, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.



A funeral service will be held 2 pm Friday in the chapel of Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake. A wake service will be held 7pm- 8 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
