Norfolk – Joan S. Royster, 76 of the 1400 block of Manson Street departed this life March 28, 2011. Born in Norfolk, she was employed with the Norfolk Public School System and at Webb's Pharmacy for over 30 years until her retirement. She was a member of First Baptist Church Campostella.

She was predeceased by her husband, Milton N. Royster. Survivors include her daughter, Karen A. Fulford of Virginia Beach, a son, Michael Spence of Norfolk, a sister, Ann R. Smith of Norfolk ,a brother, Joseph Smith (Earlene) of Brooklyn, New York, four grandchildren, five great grandchildren a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A funeral service will be held 12:00 noon, Saturday at First Baptist Church Campostella. Interment will be held 2:15 pm Monday at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Suffolk.
