On Wednesday, December 25, 2024, JoAnn Osborne, beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt, passed away to be with the Lord.

She was predeceased by her husband, Melvin Osborne; and her oldest child, Willette Byrd Gray. She leaves to cherish her memory one brother, Don Spruill; two daughters, Elaine Byrd and Pauline (Richard) Allen; and two sons, Edward Byrd Jr. and Tyriq Osborne. She also leaves a very special sister, aunt and very best friend, Dorothy "Honey" Conwell.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, 500 Liberty Street, Chesapeake. Viewing will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, January 6, 2025, at the funeral home.
