Chesapeake - Joseph Rogers Attical, "Joe", 48, of the 1200 block of Seaboard Avenue departed this life May 4, 2012. Born in Jesup, Georgia, he was a graduate of Wayne County High School Class of 81. He served 2 years in the U.S. Navy and 2 years in the U.S. Army. At the time of his passing, he was employed at Precon Marine, Inc.

He is predeceased by his parents, Robert and Ruby Attical. He is survived by his longtime companion, Marilyn Exhem of Chesapeake; one daughter, Chantel Attical of Chesapeake; two sisters, Jackie Attical and Bobbie Brown; six brothers, Robert Attical of Florida, Rev. Dr. Dewayne Attical, Lamar Attical, Roy Attical, Victor Attical and David Attical all of Jesup, Georgia; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A funeral service will be held noon Friday at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake. Interment will follow at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Suffolk.
