Norfolk —Joseph "Lil' Joe" Edward Parson, Jr, 61 of the 600 block of Appomattox St. slipped away on Sunday, November 15, 2009, at Chesapeake General Hospital, Chesapeake.

A native of Norfolk , Virginia , he was the son of the late Joseph E. Parson, Sr. and Ruth L. Parson. Joe graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in Norfolk . He was the operating manager of Quality Food Stores and Christian and Christian Printing, and was willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He leaves to cherish his memory, two brothers, Ivan Boyd and Leonard Parson (Sandra); three nieces, Ivette Isaac (Victor), Kyleah Parson and Dahiki Blakes, two nephews, Ivan Boyd, Jr and Kyle Parson; his Aunts Doris Parson and Nora Parson and a host of nieces and nephews, family and friends.
