Chesapeake - Mrs. Joshie Grant age 87 of the 600 block of Quail Avenue was called home April 6, 2008, in her home. Mrs. Grant was a native of Jackson, North Carolina. She was a member as well as a deaconess of St. Mark UCC of Berkley for over 50 years.



Mrs. Grant was the wife of the late John E. Grant. She leaves to cherish her memory, two daughters and a son-in-law, Mary Askew of Chesapeake, Gracie and John Hill of Norfolk; one sister, Hattie Mason of Portsmouth; five grandchildren, Sharon Hill of Norfolk, John Hill Jr. of Virginia Beach, Sonya Askew of Chesapeake, Terry Askew of Fayeville, N.C. and Joanne Hill of Laurel, MD; 13 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
