Obituary
Chesapeake - Joyce Mae Hill was called home to be with the Lord on January 8, 2013.
She is survived by her son, Eldrick Hill (Keisha) of Colorado Springs, CO; daughter, Sherry Hill of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; six grandchildren; two sisters, Janette Snead and Phyllis Foreman (Michael); three brothers, Randolph Snead (Wanza), Donald Snead (Barbara), and Robert Nichols (Rozeena), one aunt, Verna Gordon, a special sister in love, Essie Snead; a very dear friend, Otis Parker; two special friends, Ophelia Joyner and Ruby Davis, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She is predeceased by her son, Eugene Hill; her parents, Lyman and Mable Snead; and three brothers, Lyman Jr., Harry and Earnest Snead.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Bethel Baptist Church. Interment will follow at the Snead Family Cemetery. Viewing will be held Friday from 3pm - 7 pm at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake. Condolences can be offered to the family at www.pretlowandsons.com.
