On Tuesday, April 1, 2014 our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ called his daughter Joyce Marie Hill (Joyce Mae) home.

Joyce was born to the late Abner T. Hill and Lille Mae Reese in Norfolk County on September 6, 1951.

Joyce graduated from Crestwood High School and also attended Norfolk State University. She worked for Walmart for six years. She also worked at Red Roof Inn. Joyce enjoyed playing cards and dominos.

Joyce leaves to cherish her memory; one daughter, Zondra Hill-Brooks (Willey); five grandchildren, Trevon Hill, Ayanna Brooks, Keyana Brooks, Kayla Brooks and Alana Brooks; two great-grandchildren, Saniya and Josiah Hall; one sister, Elizabeth Stancil; two brothers, Andrew Hill (Beverly); Alphonzo Hill (Beatrice); three nieces, Arlethea Evans, Carlethea Stancil and Letitia Jackson; two nephews, Carlton Stancil, Jr., Tony Parker, Andrew Wilkins, and a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held 1pm Wednesday at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake. Interment will follow at Roosevelt Memorial Park. Viewing will be from 2-6pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
