Norfolk - Kathryn Pretlow Wright, 86, of the 1200 block of Pike Street was called home to be with the Lord April 10, 2008. Born in Norfolk, she was the daughter of the late Garland Pretlow Sr. and Lillie Deal Pretlow. She worked with the Norfolk Public School System until her retirement, and she was a longtime member of St. Thomas A.M.E. Zion Church.



She is predeceased by her parents and brothers, Roscoe Pretlow Sr. and Garland Pretlow Jr. Survivors include two sisters, Lillie Ponds of Norfolk and Hortense Greene (Vantilburg) of Virginia Beach; a special family friend, Henry Peebles of Suffolk; one nephew, one niece, a host of great nephews, great nieces, cousins and friends.



A funeral service will held 11:00 a.m. Thursday at St. Thomas A.M.E. Zion Church. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Viewing will be held 3pm - 7 pm Wednesday at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake.
