- Kirk Endess Mayo, 49, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond.
He was predeceased by his loving parents, Clarence C. Mayo and Mildred Lee Mayo, and he leaves to cherish his memory, four sisters, Jeanneatha Nixon (Kwasi), Dorothy Evans, Diann Hollis, and Rosalyn Giddens (Jack); two brothers, Clarence L. Mayo, Jr. (Ellen) and Rodney T. Mayo (Dana); a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday at noon at Mount Zion Baptist Church, 900 Middlesex Street, Norfolk. Interment will follow at Roosevelt Memorial Park. Viewing will be held from 2pm – 7pm Monday at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake.
