This is a celebration of the life of Larry Andrew Jones deceased March 31, 2008. Larry "L.A." Jones was born December 11, 1949 in Patterson, New Jersey. He was the son of the late Ernest Jones Jr. and Margaret Garnes both of Brodnax, Virginia. He was an accomplished veteran serving in the Army as a cook. Prior to his homegoing, he resided in Norfolk, Virginia and was employed at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard as a painter.
Larry was a hard worked with a love for life enjoying such activities as basketball and ?old school? concerts. He was the loving nephew of Beatrice Pergee (deceased), and caring brother of Curtis Jones(deceased). He leaves behind two sisters, Yvonne Hull of Atlanta, Georgia and Theresa Pittman of Virginia Beach, Virginia. Larry also leaves behind two children, Robert Jones of New York and Lorri Jones of Virginia Beach, Virginia, two grandchildren, Love Jones and Joshua Jones of New York, and his very devoted cousin, Ray Renell Kelly of Norfolk, Virginia. He is loved by all of his family and friends and will be sorely missed.
