On Saturday, February 4, 2012, Latisha Shavon Wilson was called home to be with the Lord. She is the daughter of late Phyllis Danette Moss. Latisha was born on November 17, 1986 in Chesapeake, Virginia. She was educated in the Chesapeake School System where she graduated from Oscar Smith High School in 2005. She was currently attending Virginia State University, where she was pursuing a career in Forensic Science.
To all who know Tisha which we fondly called her, knew she loved the Lord. Each time she spoke she reminded you that it was the Lord who allowed us to be where we are. Trisha loved her home church, New Galilee Baptist Church and always spoke highly of her church she attended in Petersburg, Agape Christian Center Church. Her laugh was one in which=h you knew she was I the room or nearby. Tisha was kind and always had an encouraging word. She embraced life to the fullest.
Latisha is survived by her grandmother, Dezara Wilson, six sisters, Christie Wilson, Angelique Moss, Amira Moss, Maleka Moss, Jacqueline Moss, and Tamara Moss; two nieces, Sa'Niyah Holland and Ryhlii Young; one nephew, Braxton Moss; two aunts, Sherry Carr of Virginia Beach and Toniette Hairson of Washington, DC and one uncle, Phillip Wilson Jr. of Victoria , Virginia.
She also leaves her extended family George and Rita Wislon; two brothers, Connel Wilson and Donte Wilson; ne sister, Eboni Wilson and nephew, Ahmad Williams. Tisha had a special place in her heart for her late great grandmother, Lucille Roscoe and her, Aunt Mittie who she called "Mary Jane." She never could tell us why he called her that, but we knew who she was talking about.
Tisha will be truly missed and remembered by her family, friends and all who had the pleasure of loving her.
A funeral service will be held
10:00 a.m. Saturday at New Galilee Baptist Church. Interment will follow at St. Luke Church Cemetery. Viewing wll be held from 3pm - 7pm at Pretlow and Sons Funeral, Chesapeake.
