Chesapeake- Evangelist Lenora Watlington, 60, of the 100 block of Hook Street, went home to be with the Lord on February 11, 2011. Lenora was born on January 3, 1951 to the late James and Beatrice Newsome. She was a longtime member of Solid Rock Church of God in Christ.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 30 years, Joseph E. Watlington, sons, William Hayes, Michael Hayes, and Joseph E. Watlington Jr. ,
and a daughter, Kaylisa Watlington all of Chesapeake ; nine grandchildren, seven brothers, eight sisters, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A funeral service will be held 12 noon Thursday, February 17, 2011 at Solid Rock COGIC, 2012 Vicker Avenue in Chesapeake, with Elder William H. Blanchard officiating. Interment will follow at Roosevelt Memorial Park. Viewing will be held Wednesday from 3pm- 7 pm at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake.
