Leon T. Carrington, Sr. passed away peacefully on Monday, February 27, 2017 at Beth Sholom Village, Virginia Beach, VA. Leon was born in Norfolk, VA on March 6, 1925 to Albert N., Sr. and Viola C. Carrington. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Helen; six children; a sister; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Leon's life will be held at the Basilica of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 232 Chapel Street in Norfolk on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at 12:00 pm. Viewing from 10:30 am to 11:45 am in the church's chapel. Interment March 8, 2017 at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Suffolk, VA.
