Lillian Elizabeth Harris Duke, 91, of the 1000 block of Fauquier St., departed this life on January 24, 2015. She was a native of Kinston, North Carolina and a devoted mother, sister, and wife to the late Earl Duke Sr. She pledged her life to the service of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and served Him faithfully as pastor of Faith Pentecostal Church in Norfolk for 35 years.

She was predeceased by her husband, Earl Duke Sr., her son, Earl Duke Jr., four sisters and two brothers. Survivors include two sons, Pastor Marvin L. Duke and wife Beulah of Chesapeake and Delbert R. Duke and wife Judy of Virginia Beach; one daughter, Earline D. Edmonds of Virginia Beach; 9 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A funeral will be conducted Friday at 1 p.m. at Chesapeake Christian Center, where her son, Marvin L. Duke is pastor. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Viewing will be Thursday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake.
