On November 22, 2022, God called our dear angel,   Lorenzo Antron Gamble to  join him in Paradise in the sky.    Lorenzo, the third oldest son of Alonzo and Linda Gamble was born on August 30, 1979 in Brooklyn, New York.

Lorenzo was a model student and a Class of 1998 honor graduate of Great Bridge High School. In his younger years, Lorenzo lovingly known as "Zoe" enjoyed playing football and was a member of the recreational team, The Redskins, where he was a fullback.

From an early age, Lorenzo had a mind for business. He started his first job at the age of 10 for the Virginian Pilot as a paperboy and from there his mind was always set on a "Gotta Go Get It" work ethic. He spent his last 15 years employed at Walmart, where he was a valued employee.

Although Lorenzo was not a person of many words, he would open up and show a different side to his dear loved ones and good friends which he held close.

Lorenzo is preceded in death by his grandfather, Dennis Brooks; grandmother, Luella Brooks and his grandfather, James Gamble. He leaves to cherish and carry on his memories, his wife, Che'la Monique Dolberry Gamble; two sons: Lorenzo Antron Gamble, Jr. (19), and Isaiah Jeremiah Gamble (10); parents: Alonzo and Linda Gamble; three brothers: Christopher Lee Johnson, Willie Alonza Johnson and Shawn Latimer Gamble; one sister, Jasmine Shada Gamble; grandmother: France Miller-Gamble; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, loved ones, and friends.  He also leaves a special niece, Crystal Bell.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Saturday, December 10, 2022 at New Mount Olive Baptist Church, 662 Fernwood Farms Road, Chesapeake. Entombment will follow at Roosevelt Memorial Park. Viewing will be held from 5pm until 7pm Friday, December 9, 2022 at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, 500 Liberty Street, Chesapeake, Virginia 23324.
