Obituary
Chesapeake – Lueanna B. Lewis, 92, departed this life Sunday, February 28, 2010. She was employed with the Beacon Motor Lodge as a Chef for 20 years; and she was an entrepreneur with ownership of real estate properties in the city of Chicago. She was a former member of Deep Creek Church of Christ Disciples of Christ.
She was predeceased by her husband of 66 years, Deacon Henry Lewis and her parents, Richard and Moseanna Rowe. Survivors include her daughter, Ruth S. Graves; two granddaughters, Teresa Sweet and Margie James; one great grandson, Brandon Pullum; a god daughter, Deborah Bukett; three sisters, Mary Cole, Olivia Garris and Frankie Simpkins; a devoted nephew, Robert Garris and nephews, Dr. Lonnie Garris, James Garris, Frank Cole, Richard Simpkins, Joe Cole and Tony Cole; nieces, Dorothy Scott, Gail Spencer, Alfreda Arnold and Ann Hill, a host of relatives and friends. A special thanks to her caregiver, Sue Mayfield.
A funeral service will be held noon Saturday at Deep Creek Church of Christ Disciples of Christ with Bishop Robert D. Ross officiating. Interment will follow at Roosevelt Memorial Park. Viewing will be held Friday from 2 pm – 7 pm at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake.
