Chesapeake - Lula Mae Jones, 77, of the 2000 block of McLain Street was called home to be with the Lord, January 7, 2007. Born in Zebulon, North Carolina, she accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of a church in Zebulon. She was a beloved housewife and mother.



She was predeceased by her husband, Rudolph Jones and survived by five daughters, four sons, two brothers, twenty-five grandchildren, thirty-eight great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.



A funeral service will be held Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Philippians Church of Christ Holy Disciples. Internment will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Hampton National Cemetery. Viewing will be Friday from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake.
