Saundra Jean Somerville departed this life on July 15, 2017. Born on December 16, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Robert Rodgers Sr. and Casteen White Rodgers. She was employed with the Chesapeake School System until her retirement.

She is predeceased by her husband Charlie Somerville, and her daughter Lydia Somerville. Survivors include eight siblings Gloria Harrell (Earl) of Portsmouth, Cynthia Wright (Tony) of Chesapeake, Robert Rodgers Jr. of GA, Jacqueline Rodgers-Easley of Suffolk, Samuel Rodgers (Sandy) of Norfolk, Vincent Rodgers (Carmen) of SC, Andre Rodgers of SC, and Valencia Jones (Derick) of Chesapeake, and a host of relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Kingdom Hall Of Jehovah's Witnesses, 681 Oak Grove Road, Chesapeake. Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake is in charge of arrangements.
