The loved and admired Mable Margaret Griffin was born February 22, 1942, the oldest of eleven children born to the late Mable Inez Griffin and Edward Holley. She was also preceded in death by her siblings Christine Griffin, Geraldine Hill, Herbert  "PorkChop" Griffin, Elvis "Popeye" Griffin; grandchildren Sharhonda Griffin and Lauryn Griffin;  and nephews Rodney "Bernie" Riddick, Maurice Griffin, Javon Griffin, and Damiel Riddick. She received her heavenly reward February 14, 2021.Mable was a faithful and devoted member of the Rose of  Sharon United Holiness Church. She was a loyal and trustworthy employee of Chesapeake HealthCare formerly known as Camelot Nursing.

Left to cherish her memory are her six children, Herbert P.Griffin, Sr (Frances), Larry A. Griffin (Deanna), Margaret T. Happer (Timothy), Jackie G. Bell (Lester), Elerene I. Hawkins (Everette), and Quincy B. Griffin (Namona); siblings, Willie E.Griffin, Evelyn Griffin, Wanda Riddick (Rayfield), Betty Griffin, , Vanessa Griffin, Cathy Riddick (Maurice),  and Cynthia Brooks (Michael); fifteen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.

Mable was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She leaves a legacy of family, faith, and love. Her favorite saying was "Give me my flowers while I am living" and this was evident by the love, devotion and dedication of her family.
