Chesapeake – Malinda Odell Royster, 63, of the 700 block of Cozy Corner Drive departed this life December 15, 2008. She was employed with the Norfolk Public School System for over 30 years until her retirement in 2008. Born in Norfolk, she was a longtime member of First Baptist Church Campostella, where she served as the Church Clerk, a member of the Hospitality Committee and the Unity Choir.

She is survived by her daughter, Jocelyn M. Royster of Richmond; two brothers, Ernest L. Royster of New York, and Curtis D. Royster (Faye) of Kentucky; a special niece, Tiffany E. Toliver of Norfolk, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
