Chesapeake - Margaret Jane Brown, 77, of the 3800 block of Ballahack Road, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, March 22, 2008. Born in Norfolk County, she was a faithful member of Bethel Baptist Church. Margaret was the widow of Benison Brown, Sr. and a retiree of the Chesapeake Public School System.



She is survived by three daughters, Elaine Bell (George), Blanche Brown Crocker, and Carol Cobb all of Chesapeake; two sons, Benison Brown Jr. of Chesapeake and Tyrone Smith of Norfolk; three sisters, Marion Tillett, Sarah Robinson, and Della Bradford all of Chesapeake; thirteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, and a special friend, Beatrice (Doll) Carrington.



A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Bethel Baptist Church by the Reverend Samuel Sykes. Interment will follow at Roosevelt Memorial Park. Viewing will be held Friday from 2pm - 7pm at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake. The family will receive friends at 1129 Sword Drive in Chesapeake, where they

will meet at noon the day of the service for the processional to the church.
