Obituary
Newport News – Margaret Olivia Greene, 84, of the 60th block of Poplar Avenue departed this life July 3, 2012. Born in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, she was a member of New Life Rhema Christian Center and Gospel Light UHC.
She is predeceased by her husband, Allen Dixon Greene. Survivors include her daughter, Gwendolyn Greene (Cornelius) and son, James Thomas Arrington of Newport News; a sister, Dynell Johnson of Hampton; two brothers, Roosevelt McGowan and James McCowan; one granddaughter, Tiara Shequita Greene of Newport News and a host of relatives and friends.
Viewing will be held Wednesday from 9-10 a.m. at IVY Baptist Church, followed by the funeral service at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery. Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Condolences can be offered to the family at www.pretlowandsons.com.
