Marion Jones Brewer was called home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 23, 2017. She was born on March 3, 1925 in Amelia County, Virginia to Emmett and Daisy Jones. She was a secretary at Naval Air Station, Norfolk for many years until her retirement. She was a longtime, faithful member of New Central Baptist Church, where she served as the church clerk, church accountant, Sunday School Superintendent, and President of the Ruby Westbrook Missionaries. She also served on the Board of Christian Education, the Pulpit Search Committee, the Pastoral Relations Committee, and she remained active in the American Baptist Churches of the South

She is predeceased by her sons, Oner Brewer , Jr. and Orlando Brewer; daughters, Carlotta Brewer Grinage, and Demetria Manifold; son-in-law, Roderick Manifold; and grandson Darius Arlo Manifold. Her memory will be cherished by her granddaughters, Nadia Manifold Anderson (EC), Lisa Lowe, and Natalie Brewer; grandsons, Devon Manifold and Nigel Manifold; brothers, Gerald Jones (Ann) and Alfred Jones and a host other relatives and friends

A home going celebration will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, January 29, 2017 at New Central Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.pretlowandsons.com.
