Norfolk - Marques J. Nance, 23, of the 3300 block of Dominion Avenue quietly departed this life Tuesday, September 11, 2007 in his home.  Born in Suffolk, he was baptized at an early age and fellowshipped with the Chapel Grove United Church of Christ. He attended IOW County Public schools and graduated from Lake Taylor High.



He is survived by his father, Glenn Nance of Franklin, his mother, Cecelia Holloway and stepfather, Andrew Holloway of Norfolk; two uncles, Ramon Hines (Janette) of Riverdale, Georgia, and Nathan Hines (Claudia) of Martinsville, VA; stepbrothers, Andrew, Antoinne, and Anthony Holloway of Lynchburg, VA; one sister, Angela Fenner; a very special care manager, Shay Wimberly; and a host of great aunts and uncles, other relatives and friends.



A funeral service will be held noon Friday at Chapel Grove United Church of Christ, Windsor, Virginia. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. Viewing will be held Thursday 3pm - 7 pm at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake.
