Chesapeake - Martha C. Bland, 68, of the 1900 block of Robert Hall Blvd. departed this life February 19, 2008. Born in Norfolk, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Hazel Cuffee. She was employed with Sentara Leigh Hospital until her retirement.



She is survived by her three children, Julius B. Johnson, Jeffrey L Johnson and Veronica L. Johnson; five grandchildren, Adrian Johnson, Jeffrey Mercer, Zemijah Johnson, Jasmine Copeland and Sharika Copeland; three sisters, Willo Mayo, Annie Watts and Kameelah Rashada;  two brothers, Clarence Cuffee and Morris Cuffee; one aunt, Fannie Griffin; one uncle, Frank Armstrong; four dedicated friends, Joyce Sanders, Evelyn Cuffee, Ester Williams and Doris Goodwrench, a host of relatives and friends.



A funeral service e will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake. Interment will follow at Roosevelt Memorial Park. Viewing will be held 2pm - 7pm Thursday at the funeral home.
