Norfolk - Mary Louise Hicks peacefully passed away on June 26, 2007 at the Norfolk Health Care Center. A native of Norfolk, she was born in Plymouth, North Carolina to the late Alphonso and Sarah Gray.



She was predeceased by her husband, Hampton Hicks, Jr. Survivors include her devoted and faithful sister, Allolevia Gary Smith, two nephews, Milton E. Smith, Jr. (Theodosia), of Silver Springs, Maryland, Robert Outlaw of Oxon Hill, Maryland, two great nieces, Bobbette Outlaw of Oxon Hill Maryland, Stacy Evans of Silver Springs, Maryland, a great nephew, Bryon A. Smith (Monica) of Texas, and a host of relatives and friends.



A homegoing service will be held at noon Tuesday at St. Thomas A.M.E. Zion Church, 1700 Melon Street, Norfolk. Interment will follow at Roosevelt Memorial Park. Viewing will be Monday from 2pm - 7 pm at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake.
