Norfolk - Mary Lee Mitchell Rogers, "Piggy", 73, of the 3100 block of Strathmore Avenue departed this life June 23, 2007. Born in Norfolk County, she was employed with the Norfolk Commissary Defense Department until her retirement, and she was a member of New Mt. Olive Baptist Church.



She is predeceased by her daughter, Rosalind Rogers-Carmichael. Survivors include her daughter, Gwendolyn E. Daniels of Georgia; three sons, Patrick W. Rogers and James H. Rogers, Jr. of Norfolk, and Raymond Rogers of Harrisburg, VA; one sister, Janice Durham of Chesapeake; two brothers, Elbert L. Mitchell (Willie) of Portsmouth and James R. Mitchell (Carolyn) of Naples, Italy; two granddaughters, Lakeisha Griffin and Michelle Phalo; four grandsons, Raymond Griffin, Dante' Rogers, Keverth Carmichael II, and Jarvis Carmichael; three great grandchildren, Quin'Tez, Taeyion, and Raymond, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.



A funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday at New Mt. Olive Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Roosevelt Memorial Park. Viewing will be Friday from 2pm - 7pm at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake.
